This is Azoli. She was trapped as part of a TNR programme in Azolimnos but she wasn’t healthy enough to be sterilised due to a diaphragmatic hernia caused by a trauma (eg road accident) so she stays with us to be safe. She has settled in seamlessly and is a really grateful cat.

What a special and unique cat Ellie was. She has stolen the heart of every volunteer she has met, and she made incredible progress since arriving here in 2024. She has neurological symptoms which we managed with medication and has improved a lot. Originally a very nervous and skittish cat, she slowly relaxed and lived […]

We all have our favourites at Syros Cats, but Skoupy has always been special (even before 2024’s miraculous events – see below!) Skoupy was rescued in December 2022 from a colony in Vari, and we think she is around ten years old. She had an awful mouth and coat so had to be bathed as […]

We keep a close eye on him! […]

The baby faced assassin! Momo simply showed up in Oct/Nov 2022 and is around 4 years old. She’s just about the most self-sufficient cat with have and very little bothers her. Is very cute, very cuddly (and very photogenic) when she decides to be and has perfected the “butter-wouldn’t-melt” pleading look for food (loves Gouda […]

Arrived in December 2020 with a sore nose and a wound on the neck. We originally thought he was a female so was named Bridget for a time! Despite being neutered Smidget still doesn’t show any interest in us, except for food! Absolutely will not allow strokes or pets at all (cue death stare and […]

Found as a kitten in 2014 and was supposed to be adopted but tested positive for FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis), a nasty viral infection which means he had to be isolated.  Since then he has a rough time, catching  an ear infection, which has left him with a permanently tilted head and  an abscess above […]
