About Rodi

(It’s the Greek word for a pomegranate!)
Ródi was found ice cold, gasping his last breaths by a volunteer during the daily feeding and monitoring of our 7 feeding stations in Kini village.

Poor boy had been attacked by a cat and had a swollen bite wound under his chin making it almost impossible to swallow, so possibly his mother abandoned him as we couldn’t find her.

Thanks to the compassionate advice and generosity of our vets on the island he has started medications and the swelling has gone down allowing him to eat with some ease.

Our volunteers gave him round the clock care to gently warm him, clean and feed him carefully, now he’s eating by himself! We don’t know if there is permanent damage from his injuries but for now we take each day as it comes.
